Risks

Project risk management identifies risks that may occur in a project, minimizes the impact of unforeseen events, and optimizes the use of project resources. In addition, risk management positively influences the decision-making process, increasing the chances of project success.
In the Risks tab, you can see all the risks entered into the project, presented in a table. The table contains basic information such as Risk Name, Status, Probability of Occurrence, and Impact on the Project.
You can customize the view of the risk list by sorting the rows and applying filters. Sorting and filtering settings are saved independently for each user.
Additionally, the Risks tab displays a risk matrix. It provides information about the number of risks whose Probability of Occurrence and Impact on the Project correspond to the selected field. This allows you to demonstrate the potential impact on the project’s success graphically. Only the risks that meet the filter criteria are presented in the matrix.
Please note that I’ve removed the repeated phrase “success and success of the project” for clarity and conciseness. Also, I’ve capitalized some terms for consistency and to highlight their importance.

Manage risk status

  1. In the project go to Risk tab
  2. In the risk tab, search for a risk and click its name. Risk panel will open
  3. Click the Status field.
This will expand the list of risk statuses. The available options are: Identified. Active, Closed
  4. Click the desired option to assign the status to the risk.
The selected risk status will then be displayed in the Status field.

Adding a new risk with any status will assign the current date and time as the Identification Date. Changing the risk status will not change the identification Date. You can view the risk status on the schedule list in the Risks column and on the task panel associated with the risk.

  1. In the project go to Risk tab
  2. In the risk tab, search for a risk and click its name. Risk panel will open
  3. Click the Schedule field. A list of schedule elements will appear.
  4. Choose the schedule element you want to link to the risk. If the element is highlighted, it’s selected.
  5. Click the Confirm button. The list will close, and you’ll see the risk window again. The linked item’s name will be in the Schedule field. The risk is now assigned to that schedule element. All changes are saved automatically.

The Schedule tab displays risks associated with a schedule item in the Risks column. These risks, with statuses of Identified and Active, are represented by a triangular icon with a corresponding circle color. A gray circle represents risks with an Identified status, while a red circle represents risks with an Active status. The number inside the circle indicates the number of risks associated with the schedule element of a certain status. Project risks linked to a schedule item are visible in the Risks section of the panel for that item.

Customizing the Risk Table View

Above the risk list in a project, you will find the “Columns” button, which allows you to fully customize the table view to your needs.

This feature enables you to:

  • Select visible columns from a list of all available fields.

  • Change the column order using the drag-and-drop method.

The view settings—such as column visibility, order, and width—are saved for the project. This means that when you return to the Risks tab, the table view will remain as you configured it.
