2026.05
We are pleased to present the latest release of FlexiProject 2026.05, which brings another set of improvements that increase flexibility in everyday project work. In this version, we placed particular emphasis on budget configurability – we introduced custom budget attributes that allow each organization to tailor the budget data structure to its own needs and use it in filtering and reports.
We have also significantly expanded the graphical reports module – it is now possible to filter data at the level of a single chart and to create visualizations for numeric attributes and function-type attributes. The resource management area has been redesigned as well – we introduced a configurable way of recalculating effort when task owners change, merged the availability and allocation views, and added historical user availability. Workspaces are now available in portfolios, project reviews, and graphical reports, while users of the mobile application can record work time directly from a task.
Below you will find a detailed overview of all new features in version 2026.05 👇
Budget attributes
In the system settings, in the Budget tab, you can now define custom attributes for budget items – similarly to project attributes. Attributes can take various formats:
- short text,
- long text,
- single-select list,
- multi-select list,
- date,
- numeric field,
- function field, which allows calculations on dates or numbers (e.g. gross amount = net amount × VAT).

The previously fixed attributes (Cost center, Expense type, Supplier, Capex/Opex, Document number) have been migrated to the new form of budget attributes. The system settings also allow you to define the order in which attributes will appear in the details of budget items.
Budget attributes are available in project templates and in project budgets. To display them in the list, simply select the relevant columns under the columns button. Values can be edited both from the list and from the budget item details.

Budget attributes can also be used to filter data in budget reports, as well as to pull data for specific attributes across different projects via a consolidated report.

Graphical reports - filtering
In the graphical reports available in project portfolios, project reports, and project reviews, an option has been added to filter data at the level of a single chart. Filters work for all types of charts.
Thanks to this, charts can show only the data that matters to us – for example, excluding archived projects, or hiding closed risks in the risk matrix.

Graphical reports - numeric values
The widget editing window has been redesigned. The previous data scope (project statuses, project managers, project attributes) has been replaced with a consistent data grouping mechanism in the “Projects” section.

In addition, for numeric project attributes and function-type attributes that return numeric values, it is now possible to create charts. The option is available in the “Projects” section and supports three types of charts:
- pie / column chart – in this case you also need to specify by which property to group the data (e.g. project status, or a custom dropdown attribute such as Project priority or Project category). For example, with a numeric attribute such as Cost savings or Power [MW], you can show the sum of values across projects grouped by status or category,
- a single number (e.g. the sum of an attribute’s values for selected projects).

The new options are available in workspaces, portfolios, project reviews, when adding projects, and in graphical reports.
Resources - defining effort recalculation
A new option has been added in the system settings that lets you define how effort is recalculated when a new user or department is added to a task. Two modes are available:
- Task effort priority (default) – the total task effort is preserved and divided equally among all owners. Example: if a task has an effort of 20h assigned to John, and we then add Peter, the total remains 20h but is split evenly (John 10h, Peter 10h). When a user is removed, the task always keeps its total effort and redistributes it among the remaining owners.
- Owner effort priority – if we add Peter to the task, the effort assigned to the existing user does not change (John 20h, Peter 0h). This means that removing a user reduces the total task effort.

Resources - additional improvements
In the Resources area we have also introduced a number of other improvements:
- The ability to distribute allocation across months when only a department (without a specific user) is assigned to a task.
- The split between the Availability and Allocation tabs has been removed. The effort details window now contains a single combined view that shows the workload and allows editing it from the same place.

- When task dates are changed, the effort distribution applied between different users and departments is preserved.
- In the global Resources view, an option to hide deleted users has been added. The button for including non-counted projects and the button for showing deleted users have been grouped under a single Settings button.

- A new column has also been added in Resources, showing the total effort in a given period – per user, project, or task.

- In the user availability settings, you can now add an availability change valid for a specific period. Previously, availability was defined as a single value with no start or end date, which caused problems whenever it was changed – the new values were overwriting availability in historical projects as well. Now we have a default availability (without a start and end date) plus the option to define availability for a specific period, which takes priority over the default. Thanks to this, historical data is preserved in archived projects.

Workspaces in portfolios, project reviews and graphical reports
In portfolios, project reviews, and graphical reports, an option has been added to display the workspace from which a project originates. It is also possible to filter project lists by workspace and to apply filtering when adding a project to a portfolio or a review.
In graphical reports, workspaces are available not only as a filter but also as a grouping option for projects and for charts showing numeric values.

Disabling “no approval path”
A new Approval tab has been added in the system settings, where you can define whether the system allows approving a baseline plan or a project charter without an approval path.

If this option is turned off, the user will not be able to select the “No approval path” option on a project – every approval must go through a defined approval process.

Project charter export with approval
The export of the Project Charter document has been extended with the ability to display the approval path in the exported file – provided that the charter has been approved through the approval process.
The document will show:
- the name of the approver,
- the approval date,
- comments added during approval.
Under the Export button, two options appear: “With approval” or “Without approval” (as before).

Enhanced approval window
With the new version, the comment field used during approval has been redesigned into a full text area. In the comment you can now:
- format text,
- paste links,
- paste images.
The added content will be visible in the approval window and in PDF exports.

Defining the order of fields in the schedule
As with the budget, the system settings now allow you to define the order of schedule attributes. Attributes will appear in the schedule item details window in the order set by the administrator.
Project number as a project attribute
The project number, which used to be a fixed system field, has been migrated to a text-type project attribute. In the field settings, you can enable the option to display it on the project list.
Thanks to this, the project number behaves like any other project attribute – it is available in reviews, portfolios, and reports, where it can be filtered, sorted, and grouped.

Work time reporting in the mobile app
In the FlexiProject mobile app, the ability to report work time has been added. As in the web version, work time can be logged directly from a task. The user can:
- specify the date,
- enter the time spent on the task,
- add a comment to the logged work time.
Thanks to this, work time can be reported also while working in the field, without the need to use a computer.
Additional invoice data
In the Payments tab, in the invoice data section, a new field “Additional invoice data” has been added. You can store there any information that should appear on the invoice – for example the name of the person on the client’s side who approves the document, or a cost code.
