Hadrone PPM focuses on the portfolio of a large organization: project baselines and control of investment spend. FlexiProject covers the same methodical scope, and your PMO configures it from day one. The choice comes down to a rollout run by the vendor or a system you launch yourself.

Hadrone PPM works where the vendor configures plan change control in detail and CAPEX and OPEX budgets pull from ERP. FlexiProject delivers the same level of oversight faster, with a ready trial environment and templates you set up yourself. Book a demo and see which approach fits your organization better.

The five modules below are where FlexiProject users see a difference in the first weeks, before the portfolio reports are even set up.
You list the products of the project first: description, acceptance criteria, owner and due date. Then you link each product to the tasks and milestones that deliver it. The sponsor sees which products are accepted, which are in progress and which have not started. Scope stops living only in the manager’s head.

Each user has a daily availability for project work, including part-time hours and time off. Vacations come in from Outlook without retyping. When you assign a task, the Gantt chart shows the load and warns you before someone exceeds their capacity. The whole organization sits in one workload view.

The team talks in a project chat that stays archived with the project. Comments and @mentions sit at the task, risk, budget line or product they concern. Real-time notifications and a mobile app let people update progress from the plant or the site. New team members read the history instead of asking around.

A template carries the schedule, budget structure, typical risks and products in one package. Durations are counted in working days from the start date, so a new project gets a full plan in seconds. The PMO edits templates in the interface, with no consultant and no scripting.

You assemble a charter from ready components and save several patterns, one per project category. Milestones, top risks and budget figures load from the project modules automatically. An approval path sends the charter to a role and keeps every approved version. The board reads the same document across the portfolio.

You register and get full access for 30 days, with no call and no workshop before you see the system. Prices are public: a free license, a standard one and a full one, mixed as your organization needs. Charters, templates and approval paths are configured in the interface by the PMO. Your first projects run on an approved baseline within days, and the board reads its first review from real data.
Team members see their tasks, report progress and talk in the project chat on a free license. Managers on a full license get Jira, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID and MS Project import and export. There is no add-on module to buy. Users sync from Entra ID or Active Directory, and the on-premises version carries the same scope as the cloud. Your IT department signs off one system, one price list and one set of connectors.

Banks and insurers run regulatory, IT and product programs side by side. Approval paths, charter versions and a review archive give audit and compliance the trail they ask for.

Research programs move through stage gates with uncertain scope. FlexiProject holds a detailed budget for the current phase, an estimate for the rest and a Go / No-Go decision at every gate.

A PPM shortlist rarely has two names on it. Open another comparison and check how each tool handles portfolio, baseline and budget.
Both systems manage projects, programs and portfolios with baselines, risks, budgets and periodic reports. Hadrone PPM is delivered as a vendor-led implementation, priced on request, with extra modules for Microsoft integrations. FlexiProject is project management software you start yourself. Prices are public, the trial takes 30 days, the PMO configures the system and one license includes the connectors. The team side differs too. FlexiProject adds a project chat, a native mobile app and daily workload planning.
Hadrone PPM has an extensive portfolio layer. It offers sub-portfolios, program and portfolio decisions, CAPEX and OPEX budgets by year and a competence analysis by month. FlexiProject offers project portfolios with the same roll-ups. A simulation switches projects on and off and shows the effect on budget and workload. Both fit a board that reviews dozens of projects. The difference lies in how fast the portfolio is running and who configures it.
Hadrone states its own threshold: 20 to 30 concurrent projects, run for the organization itself rather than for external clients. Its customers include banks, energy groups, FMCG and pharma companies. FlexiProject serves the same project offices and also organizations that start smaller and grow into strategic project management step by step. If you want the vendor to configure the system for you, Hadrone is a reasonable choice. If your PMO wants to own the configuration, start with FlexiProject.
Hadrone offers a free pilot. You contact the vendor, take part in a one-day configuration workshop and then use the system for two to four weeks. There is no self-service registration. In FlexiProject you register online and get full access for 30 days. The user guide and in-app help videos let you set up the first projects on your own.
Hadrone publishes only the pricing formula. You pay for advanced accounts, optional integration modules, implementation and post-implementation support, and you ask for a quote. FlexiProject lists its prices online for everyone. A free license serves team members, a standard one active participants and a full one managers and the PMO. You mix the three to match the organization and the total is visible before you talk to anyone.
Hadrone quotes one to three months for a typical implementation and an express variant of five days. FlexiProject is configured by your PMO in the interface. Charters, templates and approval paths are ready in days, and the first projects run on an approved baseline the same week. Our team helps with migration and the corporate standard when you need it.
Hadrone PPM plans competences and, since version 2.50, the engagement of people in projects against their full-time equivalent, analysed by month. Daily availability with individual time off does not appear in its documentation. FlexiProject stores a daily availability per user, imports vacations from Outlook and shows the load on the Gantt chart while you assign tasks.
Hadrone PPM describes the scope of a project in the charter and tracks scope changes through change requests. It also offers checklists at activities and milestones. We did not find products as separate objects with acceptance criteria. FlexiProject has a module for project products as separate objects. Each product has an owner, criteria and a due date. You link it to the tasks that deliver it.
Yes. Hadrone PPM has a Gantt chart, a baseline and change requests that can now accept selected activities separately. FlexiProject works the same way. A change request shows the current and the proposed project plan side by side, and every approved version stays available for comparison. Both systems import and export MS Project schedules, but in Hadrone that connector is a paid module.
Yes. Budgets split into CAPEX and OPEX, and commitments track reserved funds. Actual expenses come in from ERP, and the system calculates NPV and discounted payback. FlexiProject plans costs and revenues in one project budget and tracks the estimate to complete. Invoices arrive from the accounting system, and every budget change goes through formal approval with a saved version. If you need commitments in FlexiProject, ask us about the release plan.
Yes. Risks are linked to activities and milestones, risk definitions speed up adding standard risks and the portfolio monitors overdue risks. FlexiProject offers a risk register with a configurable matrix and a consolidated portfolio tab. Risks flow automatically into the charter and the review report. On this row the two systems are close.
Hadrone PPM uses RAG reports with reminders and custom sections defined per project type. FlexiProject runs project reviews on a calendar per portfolio. The report template mirrors your corporate format. Data loads from the schedule, budget and risks, and the archive keeps the decisions and comments of the management. Both approaches remove the monthly PowerPoint.
This is an area where Hadrone PPM goes further. A program there is a separate object with its own charter, budget, roles and RAG reports, and a project can belong to several programs. In FlexiProject a program is a shared schedule of several projects with dependencies between their tasks. You recalculate dates across projects in a what-if mode before you commit to a change. A program here has no charter or budget of its own.
Hadrone PPM relies on Microsoft Teams. The integration creates teams and channels for a project and stores files there, and users can comment at activities and milestones. Without Teams, Hadrone rates its own team collaboration as limited. FlexiProject has project communication built in: a chat archived with the project, comments at every object and @mentions with instant notifications.
Hadrone PPM runs in a web browser and its pages are responsive. We did not find a native mobile app in its materials. FlexiProject has a native app for iOS and Android. Team members see their tasks, change status and add comments and photos. They also log time spent on tasks from the plant floor or the construction site.
Yes. Hadrone PPM offers unlimited free standard accounts for people who view their tasks, report progress and optionally log time. FlexiProject offers an unlimited free license with the task list, status changes, comments and notifications. The free license also covers operational tasks outside projects, so the whole company can work in one system without a license discussion.
Export your schedules from Hadrone PPM to MS Project and import the files into FlexiProject with dependencies, milestones and baselines. Schedules kept in Excel come in through an import with column mapping. Charters, risks and budgets are recreated from templates that reflect your current standard. Most teams start with the active projects in the project schedule and add the history later.
Yes. Hadrone PPM links Jira issues to schedule activities with JQL and includes this connector in the standard license. FlexiProject offers an integration with Jira that imports epics and stories with owners and statuses into the project. Developers stay in Jira, business phases run in FlexiProject and the board sees one Gantt chart for the whole project.
In Hadrone PPM the connectors for Microsoft Teams, Entra ID, Active Directory and MS Project are optional modules. You pay for them on top of the accounts. Only Jira is included. FlexiProject includes its integrations in the full license. Teams, Entra ID and Active Directory sync, MS Project import and export, Outlook and the accounting system come with it. You budget one license per user and nothing else.
Send us the list of projects your board reviews each quarter. We will set them up with charters, budgets and a review template in a trial environment. You compare the two systems on your own data, without a workshop.
