Once again, we’re pleased to share with you the latest updates introduced in our project and project portfolio management system. In the newest release of FlexiProject, you’ll find numerous improvements and brand-new features — from the Payments tab, through AI-powered project creation, to two-factor authentication.

Payments tab

A new Payments tab has been added to the application, allowing system administrators to manage all aspects of billing conveniently. From now on, you can:

• view issued invoices,
• manage payment details,
• check the overview of the next payment,
• pay your subscription by card,
• and change the billing cycle — from monthly to annual and vice versa.

The new tab is available only to users with system administrator permissions.
It will not be visible to customers using on-premise installations or to some cloud customers.

Self-managed licenses

Along with the new Payments section, we’ve introduced the ability to manage licenses and user limits independently. Now the administrator can, at any time:

• increase the number of licenses (immediately, with automatic cost recalculation for the remaining billing period),
• decrease the number of licenses (the change will take effect from the next billing period).

All information about new amounts and billing will be visible in the overview of the next payment, ensuring full transparency of costs and plans.

AI-powered project creation

This is one of the most anticipated new features! On the Projects list, you’ll now find a new option – Create Project with AI, which allows you to generate an initial project schedule in just a few seconds.

Simply enter a short project description, and FlexiProject will automatically generate:

• a list of tasks,
• proposed dates and phases,
• and descriptions of schedule elements.

It’s a perfect tool to quickly kick off a new project or prepare an initial draft.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Data security is our top priority, which is why we’ve introduced two-factor authentication (2FA). Each user can activate this option in their profile. When logging in, the app will request a one-time code sent to the user’s email address.

Additionally, the system administrator can enforce 2FA for the entire organization, ensuring that no user can disable this protection.

Permissions for project portfolios

You can now manage access to project portfolios even more precisely. In the latest version of FlexiProject, we’ve introduced individual permissions for each portfolio.

The system administrator can define who is allowed to:

• create new portfolios,
• have administrative access to all portfolios.

By default, every user with a Full License will see the Project Portfolios tab with the portfolios they have access to.

Within each portfolio, access can be granted to selected users — either with edit or view-only permissions.

Permissions for project programs

Similar capabilities have also been introduced for project programs. In the system settings, you can now define who can:

• create new programs,
• have administrative access to programs.

By default, every user with a Full License will see the Programs tab with the programs they have access to.

Access can be managed individually for each program — granting edit or view-only rights. Additionally, the Programs tab has been moved to the main system menu for easier access and organization.

Expand/collapse to selected level

In project schedules, templates, and programs, a practical option has been added to expand or collapse elements to a selected level. With one click, you can now focus only on the most important parts of the project structure.

Defining columns and sorting in project charter and review templates

When adding schedule elements to project charters and reviews, you can now define:

• which columns should be displayed,
• and by which column the data should be sorted.

Sorting can be adjusted in created project charters, but after reloading the document, it will return to the default sorting defined in the template.
Default sorting will also apply when exporting the charter to a PDF file.

Enhanced reports

In Budget, Risks, and Project Plans reports, we’ve added the option to filter by project portfolios, allowing even more precise data analysis.

In Task Reports, a new column has been added showing the start date deviation from the baseline plan.

Welcome emails with user instructions

New users will now receive a series of welcome emails that provide a simple introduction to the world of FlexiProject. Each message contains practical instructions and tips about the system’s most important features.

Every user can manage email delivery directly from their user profile. It’s a great support tool for new team members, making onboarding much easier.

Enhanced help panel

The Help Panel has been enriched with links to video tutorials. Each video corresponds exactly to the screen currently displayed in the system, making it easier to find answers or see how to perform specific actions.

New Language: English – United Kingdom

We’ve added a new language variant in FlexiProject — English (United Kingdom). Previously, only American English was available, which caused differences in date, number, and currency formats (e.g., weeks starting on Sunday, dots instead of commas in numbers).

The new version introduces European cultural settings, including weeks starting on Monday and the appropriate date, number, and currency formats. This improvement makes the system more convenient for users following European standards.
