2023.02
Take a look at the new functionalities that the new release of FlexiProject brings! This time, users gain editable project cards, time-sensitivity, custom fields in project templates, and the ability to disable products. These are just some of the new features – the programme is packed with many innovative features that will make working on projects easier and increase the efficiency of the team. We encourage you to check out the new functionalities in action for yourself.

Editable Project Card
A tab has now appeared in the system settings, with which the system administrator can decide whether or not the functionality of the project cards will be displayed in the application.

For enabled functionality, the option ‘Project charters’ will appear in the menu on the left. Here we can define the project charters available in the organisation. Here, we can create, for example, an initiative card, a project card (different for marketing projects and different for production projects), a project closure card. Templates are created by dragging elements from the right-hand side of the window. At the top, in the ‘Basic’ section, we can define our own fields, which will be either a text field, a drop-down list, a date, a number, a table or a section through which we can add attachments to the card. The rest of the sections will be fields that will be pulled automatically from the project, among other things the start and end of the project. In this way, we can create a project charter tailored to the needs of the organisation. The card can occupy the entire width or consist of two columns.

If we already have templates created, we can add a template for a specific card in the project under the “Project card” tab, which we can then complete later. From the details of the project card, we will be able to send it for approval, export it to PDF or create a new one based on an existing one. In the upper right-hand corner above the card, you can see the status: Working, In the process of acceptance, Accepted.

New way of creating reports
The creation of reports has changed slightly in the new release. When we click on ‘New report’ in the ‘Reports’ tab, we will immediately define the type of data for which we will create a report.

In the next step, we can filter the data by parameters of interest. Compared to the old reports, in the new reports we do not have to define any filtering conditions. This means that we can, for example, show all projects in the organisation. There is also an option to filter out archived projects. The report table has also been rebuilt so that we can change the width of the columns and adapt them to our needs.

Time-consuming in templates
In the project templates, we will be able to define the time consumption of individual tasks. With this solution, when a new project is created from a template, the dates of the tasks will be converted into calendar days and the time consumption will be allocated to the individual users.

Scheduling fields in templates
In addition, the possibility of assigning schedule fields to tasks has now appeared in the templates. Previously, this option was only possible at the project level. If a field is not mandatory, we have to enable it in the template settings beforehand. The assigned fields in the template will be transferred to the project when the project is created from the template.

Edit levels on the schedule
An additional option to change the level of tasks appeared on the project schedule. Currently, this was only possible by dragging the task accordingly. Now, by right-clicking, a ‘Level’ option will appear with which we can move a task up, down, or raise or lower the level.

Status 'in progress' on the Kanban board
In the Kanban boards view, for grouping by status, an “In progress” column has appeared. This will show all tasks with progress from 1 to 99. If a task is dragged into the column, the task’s progress will automatically be set to 50%.

Possibility to exclude products
In the system settings, there is now the option to disable product functionality across the organisation. Disabling products does not remove them, but only hides the products in the application.

Filtering the product list
In the product list in the project, there is now an option to filter the product list. As elsewhere in the system, filtering is remembered when you switch to another screen and when you switch back to the product list.

Project fields in the project list

In addition, a “Columns” button has appeared in the project list, allowing each user to define which columns they would like to see and in what order. The settings are saved for each user individually.

Deleted users
In the list of users in the user settings, there is an option in filtering with which we can display deleted users. From this level, we can reinstate a deleted user and they will receive a free licence by default.

Description of reviews
If a description was added in the review settings, it will now be displayed in emails sent to project managers and in the list of reviews in the project and in the details of the review itself.
