2024.02
In the latest FlexiProject Release, we’ve introduced several new features and enhancements designed to increase efficiency in managing your projects. The new features include the ability to undo changes on the schedule, delegate operational tasks with the option to set cyclicity, flexibly turn off functions for a specific project, integration with Azure Active Directory, task coloring on the schedule and many other features. Below, you will find the complete list of changes introduced in the latest release👇
History of changes on the schedule
We added a new “History” button to the project schedule for people with view and administration privileges. After clicking it, you can track the list of all changes in the schedule. The list chronologically shows all changes from the latest with information on who, when, and in what task and what specifically changed. When you click on the task’s name, you will be redirected to its details. In addition, in the case of changes that affected other elements (e.g., change of dates), information appears on how many elements were affected by such changes, and we will be able to view the names of specific tasks with details on what was changed in them.
Undoing changes on the schedule
On the project schedule, an option to undo a change on the schedule has appeared.
- People without project administrator privileges will be able to undo their changes in the task history that other users have not overwritten.
- Schedule administrators will be able to undo the changes of all users through the change history window on the schedule. It will be possible to undo the last five changes if no global changes have been made, e.g., changing working days on the schedule or adding or removing a project connection to JIRA.
Undone changes will be visible in the history as crossed out. If multiple changes are undone, the scheduled version is saved before the undone change is restored.

Help
To help you work with our application, we are introducing a help window that will be available to everyone under the “Help” button in the upper right corner of the application. When clicked, a panel will appear where you will find instructions for the screen you are on. In addition, the window will have a link to all instructions, a blog with articles on project management, and a help form where you can send your questions.

Delegating operational tasks
In the latest release of FlexiProject, there is an option to delegate tasks not assigned to projects. The functionality will be available for a full license.

As with project tasks, we can assign a person responsible for the task in the task details window. Once assigned, the person will receive an email notification, and the task will appear in their task list. We can track delegated tasks from the new “Delegated” tab.

Cyclic tasks
The ability to add cyclicality has appeared in operational tasks. It allows you to automatically create a new copy of a task as soon as you mark it as completed. A new task is created in the list according to the defined recurrence if the task is executed. To add a recurrence, click on the three dots visible in the upper right corner of the task and then select the “Set recurrence” option. After clicking, a window will appear where we can decide with what frequency we want to repeat the end of the task: Every week, every month, or every year. In the case of weekly repetition, we define the days of the week on which to repeat the end of the task; in the case of monthly repetition, we choose a day from the calendar.

The start date is calculated based on the duration of the task. Cyclic tasks are marked with an additional icon visible behind the task name.

Project functionalities
On each project, there is an option to turn off unnecessary functionalities. Under Information -> Functionalities, the project administrator can choose which functionalities to use on a given project. Disabling functionalities does not delete data but only hides them in the application in a visual way. In this way, it will be possible to leave only the schedule and chat tabs for small projects, and for large projects, all available functionalities. In addition, when creating the project, the administrator can decide which functionalities he needs at the start without losing the possibility of adding them later.

Integration with Azure Active Directory
Organizations with FlexiProject in the cloud can integrate employee accounts by pulling them from Azure Active Directory. When creating the synchronization, the list of users can be restricted to specific Azure Active Directory groups.

User statuses will sync automatically based on Azure Active Directory status. For new employees, accounts will be created automatically, and the user will receive a free license. If a user is deactivated in Azure Active Directory, his FlexiProject account will also be deactivated.

Downloading vacations from Microsoft Outlook
In case of integration with Azure Active Directory, there will be an option to download leaves entered into the company’s Microsoft Outlook calendar by employees. Recorded full-day absences will be visible in the resource calendar in FlexiProject as employee availability exceptions.

Coloring tasks on the schedule
A task coloring option has been added to the project schedule. Those with schedule administrator privileges can select the color option and then set the color chosen for the task after right-clicking on a task. The global setting will be visible to all schedule users in the list view, Gantt chart, and Kanban board.

Successors in task details
Until now, in the task details, the user could only see the tasks that block the execution of a given task (predecessors). Successors will also be visible in the task details with the new release. The user will also be able to edit the created relationship from here and be redirected to the task details after clicking on the name.

Expanded integration with JIRA
In the latest release, there is an option to integrate the schedule with several projects from JIRA. List the project keys after the comma to add a connection with several projects in the connection creation window.

Next, we can filter out items from the linked projects using the JQL filter.
Filtering using JQL will also be possible for single-project integrations. The JIRA integration window will have a drop-down list with a new option to retrieve tasks using the JQL filter. After selecting it, paste the filter generated in JIRA.

Reports-items without dates and owners
For all reports where we can filter by person or date, there is now an option to filter out items that do not have a person or date assigned.

Clone project card template
In the details of the project card template, an option to clone the project card template has appeared under the cogwheel icon. After cloning the template, we will immediately be taken to the details of the new template.

Expansion of project charters and reviews
In the latest release, the project charters and overviews building module has been expanded to include the following options:
- Short text fields – until now, the window for entering text was more elaborate and took up more than one line. In the new version for short answers, adding a text answer to the template will be possible, which will always occupy one line.

- Ability to display a list of tasks
We can now add a module to project card templates and project overviews that displays tasks from the project schedule. It will also be possible to filter tasks, e.g., delayed, all to be done for the next two weeks.

- Table expansion
In the table’s columns, we can now define the answer format as text, number, date, and a one-choice list. In addition, the data table has gained the ability to change the columns’ width and the order of the elements by dragging the rows.

- Text field formatting capability
In the new release, all the contents of text fields on project and review cards will be formatable.

Project reviews-the ability to select all projects
Previously, projects for review had to be chosen individually. In the new release, we have added a button to select all projects in the list above the projects table in the overview. It also works for the filtered list.

Reviews the link to the project
The review details showed a link with which we can directly go to the project.

User business cards
An option to display a user’s business card has appeared on many application screens. We can see the user’s email address by hovering over the user’s avatar. In addition, if the organization is connected to Active Directory, the business card will also show the position in the organization, department, and superiors.

User mentions in the memories budget
In the budget elements, we have added the ability to mention users in the comments. Through the @ sign, we can mention a specific user. They will receive an email notification, the comment’s content, and a link to the budget element.
