Importing schedules from Excel and MS Project
When creating a new project, users can now import the entire project schedule structure, including task dates and durations, from Excel and MS Project. This feature saves time for users migrating projects from files into our system.
To accommodate this new functionality, we’ve split the project creation window into separate options. Users must first choose whether to create an empty project, a project from a template, or import a file from Excel or MS Project.

Creating projects from templates based on end date
In previous versions, creating a project from a template was limited to selecting a start date, which defined the entire schedule. In the current version, users can also build schedules based on the project’s end date.

Displaying and filtering project managers in the project list
The project list view has been enhanced with a column showing project managers. Users can filter the list by specific project managers, making it easier to identify who oversees each project and assess workload distribution among PMOs.

Project schedule filtering
The schedule list and Gantt chart screens now support filtering by name, status, and owner of schedule elements. This feature helps quickly locate specific tasks or display only tasks that are yet to be completed.

Task history on the project schedule
The task and milestone detail windows on the schedule now include a “History” tab. This tab displays a complete list of changes made to individual schedule elements, such as who created the task, changed its status, adjusted dates, assigned owners, or added attachments.

Changing the type of schedule elements
In the latest version, users can convert tasks into milestones and milestones into tasks. All element properties remain unchanged. This option is available from the schedule list, Gantt chart, and the details of the specific element.

Task cloning
This feature is accessible from the schedule list, Gantt chart, and task details. Task cloning allows users to quickly create a new task based on an existing one. The cloned task will appear on the schedule below the original and will retain the same properties.

Links to tasks and milestones
In the new release, users can copy links that lead directly to the details of specific tasks and milestones. This functionality simplifies sharing links with other users via correspondence, pointing them directly to specific schedule elements without searching through the full schedule view.

Editing owners in the schedule table
We’ve extended the schedule table with the ability to assign owners directly from the table. Previously, owner assignment was only possible from the task or milestone details. This improvement is expected to greatly simplify working with the project schedule.

Displaying dates and owners on the Gantt chart
The Gantt chart has been updated to show start and end dates and the owners assigned to tasks and milestones. These features can be managed through the Gantt chart settings.

Disabling the strategy module
System administrators can decide whether the Strategy module should be visible in their organization. This option is available in the system settings tab, where permissions for the Strategy tab can also be defined.
