Budget display settings

In the system settings, it will be possible to define how the budget is displayed across the application. Two options will be available:

  • With a minus: All expenses are shown with a minus sign, while revenues are displayed as positive amounts. Depending on the difference between expenses and revenues, the budget will either be displayed with a minus sign or as a positive amount.
  • Without a minus: All expenses are shown without a minus sign, and revenues are displayed as positive amounts with a plus sign. Depending on the difference between expenses and revenues, the budget will either be displayed as a positive amount or as a positive amount with a plus sign.

Defining permissions for project roles and removal of the sponsor role

In the system settings, it will be possible to define which project permissions should be assigned to specific project roles. Additionally, the “Project Sponsor” role will be changed to an editable role and moved to the roles dictionary. This will allow users to rename the role, adjust its permission level, or remove it entirely from the system.

Enhancements to approval workflows

The approval workflows feature has been expanded to allow the addition of project roles created in the system settings. Additionally, for each approval level, it is now possible to specify whether approval from all decision-makers is required or if approval from just one is sufficient.

When only one decision-maker’s approval is required, the workflow will automatically proceed to the next level once one of the designated individuals makes a decision.

Once the approval workflow is initiated, project administrators will be able to provide approval on behalf of another person if needed

Changes to project cards and submitting change requests

One noticeable change is that the “Documents” tab has been renamed to “Project Card,” and “Current Card” is now called “Working Card.”

The schedule and budget mechanisms for the project card have also been slightly modified. When no elements exist in the schedule or budget tabs, users can edit fields related to these tabs directly in the project card. Adding values in the project card will result in the values appearing in the schedule and budget tabs. However, if elements already exist in those tabs, the working card will always display the current dates derived from the schedule and budget tabs, and these values will no longer be editable in the card.

When submitting a change request for the project plan, if users wish to archive the project card, an additional tab will appear, displaying the project card. The values in the requested project card will depend on whether a new plan is requested for the budget and schedule.

Aggregate row for the schedule

An aggregate row has been added to the schedule tab, providing a quick overview of the project’s date range and schedule progress. This row is also visible in the Gantt chart and is fully editable, allowing users to easily shift the entire project timeline.

Editable extended columns from the list view

In the new version of FlexiProject, it will also be possible to edit values in extended columns directly from the list view. Previously, this option was only available in the details of milestones or tasks.

Adding dependencies from the list view

The list of options available in the schedule tab has been expanded to include the ability to quickly add dependencies. This allows users to create relationships between elements without needing to access task details.

Notification for incomplete predecessor tasks

If a task is marked as “Completed” but not all predecessor tasks have been completed, the system will display an appropriate message. Users will then need to manually confirm whether they still want to change the task’s status, acknowledging that not all preceding tasks have been completed.

Ukrainian language and hryvnia currency

We are pleased to announce that FlexiProject will now be available in Ukrainian. Additionally, it will be possible to select the Ukrainian hryvnia as the currency for the entire budget within the system.

Sorting by project managers

In the project list, project views, and project portfolios, a new sorting option has been added to sort by project managers. If a project has multiple managers, the lists will be sorted only by the first manager in alphabetical order.

Tagging users in comments

The ability to tag users in comments has been added to tasks and milestones. By typing the “@” symbol, users will see a list of available users to mention in the comment. Tagged users will receive an email notification containing information about the task and project where they were mentioned. If a user prefers not to receive email notifications about tags, they can disable this option in their user profile.

Images in descriptions and comments

It is now possible to paste images into the description and comment fields of schedule elements. We hope this functionality will make working with the schedule more efficient and user-friendly.
