2024.11
In the latest update of FlexiProject, features that were highly anticipated by our customers have been introduced. With this version, the system gained new capabilities such as importing schedules into existing projects, integration with Microsoft Teams, and exporting schedules to Microsoft Project. Below, we present the full list of new features 👇

Importing a schedule into an existing project
Until now, importing a project from a template or file (Excel, MS Project) was only possible when creating a new project. Now, users with schedule administrator permissions can import a schedule from a template or file into an existing project (available under the “Settings” button). The new schedule will be appended to the end of the current one. During file import, the system will retain the working days set in the project.

This feature allows users to create task templates for each phase of the schedule separately and import the relevant tasks when transitioning to a new phase.
In-App Notifications
A bell icon has appeared in the top-right corner of the system, where all user notifications will be displayed. When new notifications arrive, the bell will be highlighted, and the number of notifications will appear next.

Notifications are divided into three sections:
- My Notifications – information related to the user,
- Mentions – places where the user was mentioned in comments or messages,
- Followed – actions related to tasks followed by the user.
Notifications cover events from the last 30 days. Users can directly navigate to the action associated with the notification, and blue dots indicate unread messages.

Integration with Microsoft Teams
We have added the ability to integrate FlexiProject with Microsoft Teams, allowing users to pin the application in the main Teams window. This integration provides quick access to users’ task lists and utilizes automatic login via a Microsoft account.

A download link is provided below if the app is not yet available in the Microsoft Store. An administrator can manually install it in the organization.
Exporting schedules to MS Project
An option to export the project to a Microsoft Project file has been introduced in the project schedule views (list and Gantt chart).

Exporting task owner emails to Excel
The schedule export to Excel has been expanded. The “Owners” column now includes two additional sub-columns:
- User’s full name,
- Task owner’s email address.
Importing owners based on email address
The schedule import from Excel has been enhanced with the ability to assign task and milestone owners based on their email addresses. If the provided email corresponds to an existing account in the system, the user will be automatically assigned to the task. Otherwise, the owner will be skipped.

Viewing other users’ work hours
A new option in global settings allows permissions to be granted to view the “Work Hours” tab.

Users with this permission can view the logged work hours of any user by selecting their name from the menu above the table.

Monthly work hours view
The “Work Hours” tab now has a new calendar-based view. This view displays an employee’s logged work hours, divided by projects and tasks.

Milestones in portfolios, reports, and project reviews
The views for portfolios, reports, and project reviews have been enriched with a column showing the progress of milestones. Milestones are displayed chronologically, with green indicating completed milestones and red showing delayed ones.

Clicking on a milestone opens a detailed list with delays compared to the baseline plan.

User tasks in the "Resources" tab
In the “Resources” tab, the detailed view of a user now displays tasks assigned to them. Previously, only projects where effort had been declared were visible.
Internal links in project cards and reviews
Links have been added to tables in project cards and reviews, enabling navigation to the details of tasks, milestones, expenses, revenues, risks, and deliverables.

Editing the project card name
Previously, the name of a project card had to match the template it was based on. Users can edit the document name using the pencil icon in the new version. This is only possible for documents in the “Draft” status.

Dynamic name changes for the "Project Card" tab
The name of the “Project Card” tab will now automatically update based on the type of accepted document (e.g., initiative card, closure card).

Hiding the WBS column in the schedule
Users now have the option to hide the WBS column in the project schedule. This setting is available in the “Columns” menu.

Default fixed relations in the schedule
The default relation settings between tasks have been changed in response to user requests. New relationships will now be set as fixed, with a zero-day gap.
