We invite you to explore the detailed list of changes!👇

Release FlexiProject 2025.03

Graphical reports

We have introduced a new “Summary” tab in project portfolios, project reports, and reviews. This allows for the creation of visual data summaries using widgets that can display, among other things: project stages, their status, managers, schedule and budget progress, and risk information.

Each widget can be a bar chart, pie chart, list, or single number. The screen layout can be adjusted by moving and resizing tiles. View settings are saved for the entire portfolio, project report, or review. It is worth noting that in project reports, the “Summary” tab becomes available only after saving the report.

Graphical reports

Private reports and sharing

In the new version, every user with a full license can create their reports, which they can share with selected individuals – either with editing rights or view-only access. Reports that existed before the update will be copied as personal reports for all users who previously had access to them.

Reports – displaying data accessible to users

Due to the report overhaul, the data display mechanism in reports has also changed. In the latest version, users will only see data they can access within the system. Project reports will be available only to users with a view or administrative permissions for the projects tab.

Reports – filtering by logged-in user

We have added the ability to set up filtering in reports based on the currently logged-in user. This filter enables, for example, preparing reports for task owners and sharing them in view-only mode. The logged-in user granted access to such a report will only see data related to tasks they own and have access to.

First baseline plan

Portfolios, reports, and project reviews now have an option to display the first baseline plan for the schedule and budget. Previously, the baseline plan only referred to the most recently approved one.

Short and long text in project fields

We have added a new field type, “Long text,” which allows content formatting and inserting links and images (similar to project and task descriptions). The existing “Text” field has been renamed “Short text.” We have also changed how “Short text” is displayed in project cards and reviews—its content now wraps to a new line instead of being truncated.

Date-type project fields dependent on schedule

In the new version, date-type project fields can be linked to a task or milestone in the schedule. The date in this field will automatically update when the start or end date of the selected element changes. This option is also available for existing project fields.

Description in project fields, project card fields, and reviews

For project fields, project card fields, and reviews, it is now possible to set a description. The description field in project information, project cards, and reviews is marked with an “i” icon. Hovering over it displays the description.

Sorting in project card/review by WBS number

In project cards and reviews, a new sorting option has been added to the schedule tables, allowing sorting by WBS number. Previously, elements were sorted by default based on the end date.

Expenses and revenues – actual or forecasted in project card and review

The project card and reviews have introduced an option to add the total amount of actual or forecasted expenses/revenues.

Reviews – shared view

The project list in the review is now shared among all users. Any layout changes (e.g., order, visible columns) are immediately available and saved for all users using the same review.

Exporting a single project review

It is now possible to export a review for a selected project only. To do this, go to the project, open the reviews tab, and select the specific review.

Gantt – improved readability of the chart

To display a broader time range while maintaining readability, we have narrowed the columns on the timeline and redesigned the scales. Weekly, monthly, and quarterly views now show twice the range, and the annual view allows the presentation of data spanning several years.

Task path

The task panel now features the option to display the full path of parent tasks. By default, the two closest parent tasks are visible, and the full path can be displayed by clicking the three-dot icon. Clicking on a task name opens its panel.

Task numbering

To facilitate locating tasks in the schedule, the task panel now displays the row number (#) and WBS above the task name. The row number also appears for linked tasks (predecessors and successors).

Opening predecessors and successors

In the schedule, we have added the ability to open the predecessor or successor task panel directly from the currently open task.

Auto-scrolling to active row

After navigating to a specific task (e.g., by jumping to a predecessor), the project schedule will automatically scroll to that task, and it will be highlighted in the list, making it easier to locate and work with.

Filtering by start date in the schedule

A new filtering option has been added to the project schedule, allowing filtering by start date. Previously, filtering was only possible by the end date. Users can now specify a date range (from/to) for filtering.
