About the Art of Projects Conference
Art of Projects 2026 took place in Budapest in May 2026. It is an international conference organized by PMI Budapest, Hungarian Chapter, bringing together project leaders, PMO professionals, executives, and researchers to explore how organizations can deliver value while navigating uncertainty.
This year’s edition focused on how project management is evolving in response to increasingly complex business environments. Key themes included:
- Delivering value beyond the traditional project triangle (cost–time–scope)
- Enterprise agility and large-scale organizational change
- The evolving role of PMOs and strategic governance
- Insights from the latest PMBOK Guide – 8th edition

The conference offered a mix of formats designed for both learning and networking – from keynote presentations by international experts and senior PMI representatives, through breakout sessions on practical project leadership challenges and panel discussions with senior practitioners, to plenty of opportunities to connect with the regional and international PM community.
Attendees left with practical insights, real-world examples from large multinational organizations, and ideas that can be applied directly in their day-to-day work.

FlexiProject breakout session: How modern PPM software supports better decisions in uncertain times
