Enbio is a manufacturer of medical autoclaves that combines innovation with Swiss design. The company is part of a global capital group with an annual turnover exceeding 200 million euros.
Enbio’s DNA stems from over 30 years of experience in biotechnology, where the highest sterilization quality and precision of execution are essential. The products are designed from the ground up by an internal team of engineers and designers, manufactured in the European Union, and distributed worldwide – in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific region. The company’s core values are simplicity, human-centered design and technical perfection.
Before implementing FlexiProject, project management at Enbio was decentralized and unstructured. Projects were led by managers and engineers without a dedicated methodology for centralized project management. Documents were stored in SharePoint, and communication took place via email and Teams. This model made it impossible to efficiently track decision history and easily refer back to previous arrangements. Linking tasks with communication was problematic, leading to the loss of valuable information. The R&D department was the first to report the need for a system-based support.
Enbio required a ready-to-use tool, without time-consuming and costly programming. FlexiProject offered a rich set of built-in functionalities, fast implementation, and flexibility in adapting to the specifics of technical R&D projects. In daily work, the team uses several core areas of the system. Project cards became the single source of truth for every significant decision and project stage. Decisions are made using decision paths created directly in the system. Project templates enabled standardization of repetitive tasks such as verifications, documentation, or work progress reports, while allowing flexible customization to the unique technical requirements of each project through quick task additions or responsibility assignments.
The system also supports scheduling and project portfolio management, enabling deadline planning and portfolio control in one place. Context-based communication within specific tasks, supported by email notifications and easy access to conversation history, largely replaced communication via email. Reporting features and full project history available on demand significantly simplified the preparation of materials for the Management Board and the execution of audits.
The implementation of FlexiProject significantly streamlined workflows at Enbio. The centralization of documentation through project cards and the use of templates ensured consistency and repeatability of activities. Communication became structured, and instant access to historical data enabled easy reference to previous arrangements and decisions.
The system proved particularly valuable during audits, confirming the correctness of project management and greatly facilitating the preparation of required documentation. FlexiProject has become a daily work tool for the engineering team and a foundation for further building project maturity within the organization.
The implementation of FlexiProject was recognized as a key step in the professionalization of project management at Enbio. The company particularly values the flexibility of the system, which allows it to be adapted to real operational needs. Rapid implementation was possible thanks to ready-made functionalities that did not require additional programming.
Enbio plans to gradually expand the scope of FlexiProject usage as the organization and its processes evolve. The system not only addressed specific operational challenges but also became an important element supporting a culture based on transparency, standardization, and technical excellence.
