VIVE Textile Recycling Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Kielce, has been setting the direction for the textile recycling industry in Poland and Europe since 1992. Using advanced, fully computerized sorting lines, the company processes over 300 tons of used clothing daily, amounting to 1.4 million items. VIVE pursues an ambitious mission of fully utilizing textile resources based on the 4R principle: Reuse, Reduce, Repair, Recycle.
Employing around 2,000 people and exporting products to over 80 countries, VIVE operates on an impressive scale and actively implements innovations. As a pioneer in textile upcycling, it is the only company in the world that has developed and implemented a technology for producing a composite made from textiles. This material, known for its extraordinary strength, is used in small architectural constructions and professional applications in road and water infrastructure.
The capital group includes nine companies, among them:
VIVE is also strongly engaged in corporate social responsibility initiatives, supporting local sports and environmental activities, and contributing significantly to CO₂ emission reductions.
As the organization expanded and the number of initiatives grew, the need to organize internal project management processes became apparent. Before implementing a new system, the company lacked a unified methodology—projects were not clearly defined, there were no consistent documentation rules, and many tasks were executed ad hoc, often without basic control tools. This lack of standardization affected not only operational efficiency but also hindered team communication and progress reporting to the management board. With numerous initiatives running simultaneously across various departments, implementing a solution to structure project work became essential.
To address these challenges, VIVE decided to implement the FlexiProject system, treating it from the outset not just as an IT tool but as an integral part of the organization’s project management methodology. Collaboration with the FlexiProject team began with a detailed needs analysis, followed by system configuration tailored to both current and future requirements. A key implementation stage was administrator training, which allowed the organization to quickly start using the system and manage it independently. Special attention was given to scheduling and milestone definition features, which soon became essential planning and progress control tools.
The introduction of project portfolios enabled activity grouping by area, significantly improving both coordination and team communication. It also simplified reporting—both at the individual project level and across entire operational domains.
Currently, VIVE Textile Recycling runs several major projects in parallel within the FlexiProject system, each assigned to the appropriate project portfolio. This approach enables teams to focus on specific tasks and provides the management board with clear, consolidated reports that support decision-making. Milestones and schedules have become standard planning tools, improving process transparency and predictability.
A particularly noteworthy outcome, as emphasized by company representatives, is the strong grassroots motivation among employees to deepen their project management knowledge. Training sessions are attended not only by managers and team leaders but also by operational staff working in logistics and warehouses. The most recent training round, conducted by internal experts, included 40 employees from a single operational area.
From the project managers’ perspective, the system is especially valued for its clarity, ease of use, and integrated functionality. All key information, documents, and budget data are stored in one place, eliminating the need to search through email inboxes or network folders. The comprehensive nature of the solution supports not only efficient project execution but also the systematization of everyday work and more predictable, structured team management.
Implementing FlexiProject has also sparked the development of a project culture based on conscious management of goals, schedules, and teams. The tool continues to evolve with regular updates, enabling increasingly advanced usage.
Regarded by users as a modern, intuitive, and multifunctional solution, FlexiProject has become a natural part of daily management at VIVE Textile Recycling—a company that not only recycles waste but also effectively streamlines internal processes to pursue its vision of a circular economy better.
