Organizational Structure

The Organizational Structure module allows you to map the company hierarchy, create a tree of departments, and assign managers. Defining this structure is essential for automating permission assignments and generating accurate reports.

Creating a Department

  1. Go to the Administration tab and select Users.
  2. Go to the Organizational Structure tab.
  3. Click the Add department button to create a new unit.
  4. Enter the Name of the department (Mandatory).
  5. Select a Manager for the department (Mandatory).
  6. (Optional) Assign Employees to the department.
  7. Click Save.

Hierarchy Logic

The structure is dynamic. The department’s position in the tree is automatically determined by the Manager’s supervisor. If you change a department’s manager, the entire department (including sub-departments) will move to align with the new manager’s place in the hierarchy.

Microsoft Entra ID Synchronization

If your system is integrated with Microsoft Entra ID, you can automate this process.

  1. In the Organizational Structure tab, enable the Download structure automatically option.
  2. The system will build the hierarchy based on the Manager ID field from Entra ID.

Note: Synced data overwrites manual changes for linked users.

Group-based import (release 2026.05)

The Entra ID synchronization configuration now accepts:

  • The Tenant name of the Entra ID directory.
  • A list of group IDs (separated by commas) used to scope which users and departments are imported. Leave the field empty to sync the full directory.

This complements the existing automatic department-hierarchy mapping — only the structure of the listed groups is created in the organization tree.
